When a customer orders custom software, we believe that there should not be any surprises.  The process begins with a detailed bid which describes the work to be performed, gives an estimate of the time to completion, and includes a flat cost and suggested payment schedule.  We do not charge by the hour.  You know how much the job will cost before we start.

If the job involves data conversion, user training, manuals, or ongoing support, these costs are provided up front as part of the bid.  Payment schedules can be negotiated.

All screens are designed to be used with a minimum number of mouse clicks.  We understand that speed of data entry is important.  Enter or Tab moves you to the next logical entry point.  Keyboard arrows can be used to navigate around the screen.  Most command buttons are accessible using an 'alt-' or 'ctrl-' keyboard combination.  Reports can be generated in either display or print mode.  If displayed, reports can be sent to a text file for export to a spread sheet.

Security in most systems is maintained on a 'group' basis.  Any number of valid users may be created and assigned to any number of groups.  Each group is given a set of 'restrictions' which control which functions or parts of functions they can access.  If a user is not given access to a given function, that function does not appear on their menu. Passwords can be assigned, or each user may change their own password.

In most cases, we do not 'fix' existing software.  We design entire systems from the initial database design, to the screen and report layout, to the implementation and training of key personnel.  It is usually cheaper to replace outdated or poorly functioning software than to try to find and fix the problems which have accumulated over the years.

Since each system is a custom design, once a system has been installed, we can provide ongoing enhancements if requested.  These can usually be performed within a day.  As with the original system, any additions are offered on a 'bid up front' basis.  If you elect to have a maintenance agreement, many smaller changes are provided at no charge.
